The Hornby Train Sets which are termed Analogue are not DCC ready or DCC Fitted.

Hornby Train Sets are manufacturered in three different types.

These are:

1. Standard anologue,

2. Digital ready anologue and

3. Full Digital.

The Standard Anolgue sets will come complete with TrackMat, loco, rolling stock, track and an anologue transformer and train controller.

The Digital Ready sets come with trackmat, loco, rolling stock. anologue transformer and anologue train controller. The loco will be a 'digital ready' one. This means that the loco has been internally wired with all the necessary connections ready to receive the ' digital chip' of your choice. When the loco has been converted you will require a digital controller.

The Digital sets come with trackmat, loco, rolling stock, digital controller and transformer and track. The loco will have already been wired with Hornby 'digital chip'. Just read the instructions and set up the controller and you are ready to go.
